{mindful} in 2015


This last year was one of the most whirlwind years I can remember. It held far too many goodbyes. And, it really got me thinking about my own life and how I so often take for granted that I shall have many many tomorrows to do things that I put off. These thoughts were swirling around in my head as I was debating a word to focus on for 2015, when the word mindful popped up in my twitter feed of all place. Instantly, it felt right… like coming home. For it has many interpretations.

Mindful of My Health

I won’t lie and say that I don’t want to lose weight, but I am trying to keep that as a side-benefit to being more mindful of being more active, eating more real, whole food. Less coffee, more water or freshly made fruit juice.

Mindful of My Time

This is a big one. I’m the queen of wasting time. I work from home and I have a lot of spare time, and I sadly do not use it as well as I should. I want to work on that this year, be more productive and not just let the days slide past.

Mindful of MomentsMindfulness

The internet and smartphones are a wonderful invention. They connect us to information and friends in a way that generations before couldn’t have imagined except in the most “out there” of science fiction. But, I do not think all this connectedness is doing us any good. I mean it is, and it isn’t. I want to be more mindful of the here and now.
