{review} Dealing with Dragons 3

The following review and summary were written by my daughter. The text is unedited.

Dealing With Dragons

Dealing With Dragons is the first book of the Enchanted Forest Chronicles series, it is very well written and Patricia C. Wrede Is excellent at including detail and making the story interesting. The book starts off by meeting the main character Cimorene who is a princess who refuses  to be proper. She has tried to learn magic, fencing and many other traits that “is not simply done” by a princess, all of which have been discoverer and put to a stop. She then runs away and volunteers to be the princess of a dragon. She then becomes the princess of a dragon named Kazul. She then must face the sinister wizards who will do anything they can to gain power over the dragons. What can she do to succeed?

I really like dealing with dragons because I have never liked the traditional, princess gets captured and put in a tower, prince tries to defeat dragon guarding the tower, princess screams, prince defeats dragon, prince and princess get married. I enjoy this book because it is the exact opposite! This book is perfect for people who are like me. I would rather go live with a dragon rather then be forced into a marriage and that is what Cimorene thought as well. If you are looking for a traditional story I don’t know how you found this but this book is NOT for you.

I hope you enjoyed the review! Comments and questions are welcomed, she would LOVE that.

This was my FAVOURITE book series when I was 10, and I still reread it from time to time. Book #3 is my absolute favourite, so if you’re still reading then you’re in for a treat! 😀

Awesome, I love stories about nonconforming princesses! We may have to try this one in our house too. Thanks for the review! 🙂
